Green plants and oxidation process revolutionize wastewater treatment efficiency by 83.9%
Efficiently treating wastewater with lots of organic compounds is crucial for protecting the environment. Researchers found that using green plants to absorb pollutants, along with an oxidation process using hydroxyl radicals, is a promising method. They tested a two-stage treatment approach and achieved an 83.9% reduction in chemical oxygen demand, showing high efficiency in treating the wastewater.
