The study measured Vietnam's digital economy by looking at how much it contributes to the country's GDP. They found that the core digital economy in Vietnam has grown a lot in the past 14 years, from 1.45% to 7.08% of GDP. The digitalized economy also increased, from 4.90% to 11.56% of GDP. The growth of the digitalized economy is mostly because of the core digital economy. This means Vietnam should focus on developing its core digital economy and promoting digital transformation to reach its goal of having 20% of GDP from the digital economy by 2025 and 30% by 2030.
