The article examines how economic recessions affect hotels and restaurants in Delhi, India. Researchers surveyed 10 five-star hotels and 30 quick-service restaurants to understand the impact of recessions on these businesses. They found that recession causes, severity of impact, measures taken to combat the recession, and recovery strategies are all closely linked. The study also looked at how these businesses retain employees during tough economic times. The findings provide valuable insights for hotel and restaurant owners, managers, and staff to improve their competitiveness and navigate economic challenges.
