High school students in Baghdad City were studied to see how many were addicted to the internet and what factors were related to this addiction. The researchers found that almost half of the students were addicted to the internet, with different levels of severity. Internet addiction was more common among male students with lower grades, especially in certain areas of the city. Female students with better grades were less likely to be addicted. Students with chronic illnesses were also more likely to be addicted to the internet. The study shows that internet addiction is a real issue among high school students in Baghdad City.
