Organic Farming Boosts Carrot Yields, Improves Nutrition for Millions
A study was done to see how different types of nutrients affect the growth and yield of carrots. They tested nine different treatments, like using compost and biofertilizers, to see which one worked best. The treatment with half the recommended NPK fertilizer, green leaf manure, and biofertilizers gave the tallest plants and the most leaves. This treatment also produced the longest and widest carrots, and the highest yield. The carrots from this treatment also had the highest sugar content. Overall, using a mix of nutrients like green leaf manure and biofertilizers can help carrots grow better and taste sweeter.
