Drip irrigation boosts onion seed yields by 26% while slashing water use
A study was done to see how different ways of watering onion plants affect seed production. They tested drip irrigation with varying amounts of water and time between waterings. Drip irrigation saved water and increased seed yield compared to traditional watering methods. The best results were seen when watering daily or every 3 days with a certain amount of water. Watering less often or with more water didn't work as well. The plants grew better, produced more seeds, and used water more efficiently with the right drip irrigation schedule. This method was also the most cost-effective for growing onion seeds.
