New herbicide combo boosts crop yield and profits in Jammu region.
The researchers studied how different herbicides affect weed growth and nutrient uptake in urdbean crops. They found that using a specific herbicide before the crops emerge can significantly reduce weed density and biomass. This led to higher yields and less nutrient depletion by weeds, resulting in better crop growth. The herbicide imazethapyr + pendimethalin @ 1,000 g/ha was the most effective in managing weeds and increasing seed yield in urdbean crops in the Jammu region.
