Organic Fertilizer Boosts Wheat Yields, Offers Sustainable Farming Solution
Applying vermicompost and nitrogen to wheat fields can increase crop yields. In a study from 1994-96, using 7.5 or 10 tons of vermicompost per hectare resulted in higher yields than using 10 tons of FYM. Adding more nitrogen also improved crop yields. Combining vermicompost or FYM with nitrogen produced similar yields to using recommended fertilizers. This shows that integrated nutrient management with vermicompost can boost wheat productivity.
