Eco-friendly Insulation from Flax Waste Boosts Home Energy Efficiency
In this study, the researchers examined using insulation made from plant waste to keep buildings warm. They tested flax noils insulation by putting it on the walls of a house and checking how well it kept the heat inside. The results showed that the flax noils insulation had good thermal properties, with a heat resistance value of 3.24 (m2·°C)/W when the outside temperature was -23°C. Graphs showed how the temperature and humidity changed inside the walls with this type of insulation. Overall, the tests proved that flax noils insulation can effectively keep buildings warm and cozy.
