Revolutionizing Small Farming: New Machine Boosts Efficiency and Soil Health
The scientists developed a versatile machine for small farms to do tilling with two different plows. They tested the machine at different speeds and depths and found that the chisel plow and rotary plow worked best at a speed of 4.4 km/h and a depth of 6 cm. The chisel plow needed less power at a speed of 1.2 km/h and a depth of 6 cm. The soil was most compact at a speed of 1.8 km/h and least smooth at a speed of 3.0 km/h. The penetration resistance was highest at a speed of 4.4 km/h and a depth of 6 cm.
