The study compared two methods, ordinal forest and ordinal logistic regression, to predict the value of ordinal response variables. The ordinal forest method consistently showed higher accuracy and kappa values than ordinal logistic regression in predicting village development index in North Maluku Province in 2020. This suggests that the ordinal forest method is more effective for this type of data analysis.
