Phosphorus-enriched compost boosts kharif rice yield and quality significantly
The researchers studied how adding phosphorus-enriched compost to rice fields affects plant growth and yield. They tested different compost types and durations on kharif rice over two years. Results showed that the compost with the highest phosphorus content and longest conditioning time led to more tillers and longer panicles in the rice plants. This treatment also resulted in higher grain and straw yields compared to other compost types. Overall, the study suggests that using phosphorus-enriched compost can improve the growth and yield of kharif rice crops.
