Transformational leadership key for success in Ugandan public universities.
Leadership styles like transformational and transactional positively impact the effectiveness of public universities in Uganda, while laissez-faire style doesn't have much effect. A study with 93 university managers found that using transformational and transactional leadership styles is important for success, but using laissez-faire style isn't as helpful. This means that leaders in universities should focus on being transformational and transactional to make their organizations more effective.
