Pneumonia is a serious illness in young children, but detecting it accurately from chest X-rays can be challenging. To improve this process, researchers used advanced computer techniques to create more X-ray images of pneumonia cases. They then trained and tested different deep learning models to see which one could best identify pneumonia in these images. The results showed that one model achieved an impressive accuracy of 99.26%, outperforming the others. This means that using these techniques can help doctors more accurately diagnose pneumonia in children, potentially saving lives.
