The study looked at how different climate factors affect upland rice yield in central Brazil. They analyzed data from 177 trials of rice varieties grown in four states from 1996 to 2018. By using a special model, they found that high temperatures and certain degree-day counts can lower rice yield, while warmer temperatures at a specific growth stage can increase it.
