Governments in the region have been making energy policies to improve energy efficiency. A study looked at data from 23 countries in the region from 2000 to 2017 to see how these policies affect energy efficiency. They found that implementing energy policies can increase energy efficiency by an average of 0.158%. The impact varies depending on the type of policy. The region's energy efficiency has been improving over time, and optimizing energy policies has saved a lot of energy.
