LSTM-based models can accurately simulate peak streamflow for flood analysis. Researchers tested different methods to improve the models' accuracy, like adding weather data and oversampling peak events. Results show that LSTM models can match or outperform traditional hydrological models in predicting peak streamflow. This research suggests ways to enhance LSTM models for better flood forecasting.
