Co-operation is easier when people can see each other. Contracts can help make intentions clear and define roles. In this study, incentive contracts for delegates were used to maintain co-operation in a Cournot oligopoly. The research found that collusion is a stable strategy in a duopoly game when managers' incentive schemes are observable and can be renegotiated.
