The Doha Development Round (DDR) is crucial for global trade success. Without progress, trade protectionism and regional agreements could harm the multilateral trading system. The World Trade Organization (WTO) was created to boost global trade, and completing the DDR is key to maintaining its benefits. Failure to do so could lead to economic losses worldwide. The paper discusses the importance of moving forward with the DDR to safeguard free trade principles and prevent uncertainty in global trade.
