New model accurately predicts runoff in Southern Louisiana watersheds.
A model called USDAHL-74 Revised was tested in southern Louisiana to predict water runoff from a small area. The model was first adjusted using data from a small watershed, then used to predict runoff from a larger area. The predicted runoff closely matched the actual runoff, showing that the model works well for this region.
