The article discusses a new method for designing the topside of warships early in the design process. The goal is to improve the current design tools by providing guidance for locating equipment on the ship's deck while minimizing issues. The method allows for easier identification of potential problems and gives flexibility to naval architects in exploring different design solutions. The study outlines the key components and characteristics of the methodology, as well as proposing new design tools for integration. The framework developed can be implemented using current computer technology and can address various topside design issues effectively.
