Transforming organic waste into nutrient-rich soil with earthworm magic!
The researchers used different types of organic wastes like kitchen scraps, farm leftovers, and cow dung to make compost with earthworms. They found that as the composting process went on, the acidity decreased, while nutrients like nitrogen and phosphorus increased. The number of earthworms, their weight, and the number of eggs they laid also went up during the 75-day composting period.
