China has a lot of grassland, but most of it is in bad shape due to human activities and climate change. Overgrazing, mowing too often, turning grassland into farmland, and taking too many useful plants are the main reasons. Laws and actions have been put in place to fix these problems, but there's still a lot of work to be done to make sure China's grasslands are healthy and can support economic growth in a sustainable way.
