Organic and inorganic fertilizers boost crop yields and soil health.
A long-term study at Punjab Agricultural University looked at how using organic manure and chemical fertilizers affects soil and crop growth. They found that combining both types of fertilizers led to higher wheat yields compared to using no fertilizers. Adding more nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium also increased crop yields. The soil's pH decreased with continuous use of chemical fertilizers, but organic matter and nutrient availability improved. Overall, using a mix of organic and chemical fertilizers can boost crop growth and soil health over time.
