The study estimated the amount of livestock and poultry manure in Guangxi to understand its impact on the environment. They found that in 2010, the region produced a large amount of animal feces containing nutrients like TN and TP. This waste posed a significant threat to water quality due to high levels of pollutants like BOD5, CODCr, and NH3-N. While the livestock industry had minimal impact on soil, it had a severe impact on water quality in Guangxi.
