Groundwater levels can be affected by building groundwater dams. To address water resource shortages, a sustainable plan for new water sources is needed. By studying the Hoengchun-river area, researchers used geological surveys and analysis to predict groundwater fluctuations before and after dam construction. They found that effective development of groundwater connected to surface water can help manage water resources better.
