Community Forest Management in Vietnam Boosts Local Benefits and Participation.
Community forest management in Central Vietnam aims to analyze the effectiveness of different models in terms of benefits to local people and forest resources. The study found that flexible benefit sharing based on forest reserves and stable models has been successful in providing benefits to communities. However, limited forest reserves and product capacity hinder full community participation. Lack of detailed planning post-allocation restricts benefits realization and community independence. To improve participation and benefits realization, establishing funds for forest protection, providing guidelines for violations, and implementing simple forestry techniques are crucial.
