Private Forests in Korea Facing Deterioration Due to Ownership Challenges
The article explores how private forests in Korea are facing challenges due to small ownership, lack of investment, and non-resident owners. The researchers studied the felling and reforestation practices in Sunchon and Changsu cities to understand how forest owners can be more involved in managing their forests. They found that different areas use felled trees in various ways, and there is a need for further research on tree market development in Chonnam and Chonbuk provinces.
