Survey reveals: Education, politics, and income influence attitudes towards municipal tax rates.
The study looked at what influences people's opinions on municipal income tax rates in Sweden. The actual tax rate people pay doesn't seem to affect their views much. However, factors like education level, political beliefs, satisfaction with local services, and income level do play a role. People with higher education and left-leaning political views are less likely to want to lower taxes, while those with lower income and right-leaning views are more likely to want lower taxes. Regular newspaper readers also tend to support higher taxes.
