World's Largest Steel Box Girder Bridge Redefines Modern Infrastructure
The Jiashao Bridge is a massive steel box girder bridge with unique design features. It is the largest multi-pylon cable stayed bridge in the world, with a total length of 2680m and a steel consumption of 77,000 tons. The bridge has a wide carriage width of 24m and a distance of 9.8m between carriages. The design includes four cable planes that support the load independently. The construction involved erecting girder segments, assembling the steel box girder in a cantilevered manner, and closing the bridge.
