They found that both irrigation and sulphur increased the amount of seeds and straw produced by the plants. The plants responded differently to sulphur depending on how much irrigation they received. Without irrigation, more seeds were produced with higher sulphur levels, while with irrigation, the best seed yield was seen with a lower sulphur level.
