The article discusses new ways to test ironmaking raw materials like iron ore and coal. Instead of the usual static tests, they suggest using a dynamic technique that moves the reaction mixture under specific temperature changes. This new method gives more helpful data compared to traditional tests, like the standard reducibility test and commercial thermal analyser. The results show that the dynamic technique simulates important features of continuous vertical reactors, making it a better way to assess raw materials for iron and steel production.
