Invasion of Eupatorium adenophorum leads to decline in vegetation diversity.
Invasion of Eupatorium adenophorum led to a decrease in plant diversity in Yunnan and Sichuan Provinces. The study found that the invasion caused a significant decline in the number of different plant species in the affected areas. The impact was more pronounced in habitats dominated by annual herbs compared to those with perennial herbs and shrubs. Overall, the invasion had negative effects on the richness and diversity of the vegetation in the study plots.
