Urban modern agriculture in Tianjin City provides valuable ecological services, such as air and climate regulation, water conservation, and biodiversity conservation. The ecological value of agriculture in the city was estimated to be close to its economic value in 2010. To enhance the ecological function of urban modern agriculture, measures like protecting arable land, developing facility agriculture cautiously, and strengthening ecological agriculture construction are recommended. These actions aim to improve the environment and create a more complete agro-ecological system in Tianjin City.
