Ghana aims to boost LPG consumption to improve access to clean cooking.
The goal of the Ghana LPG Gas Sector Study was to identify obstacles to the development of the Liquid Petroleum Gas market in Ghana and create a strategy for market growth. The researchers aimed to increase access to LPG for all, including the poor, with the target of reaching a per capita consumption level similar to other West African countries. The study found that providing easier access to modern cooking fuels could help achieve development goals and improve air quality.
