Urban golf courses boost biodiversity, making cities greener than ever!
Human activity has drastically changed Earth's ecosystems, especially with more people living in cities. This study looks at how urban areas impact biodiversity and ecosystem services. They found that certain species, like the Eurasian Jay, play a crucial role in maintaining landscapes. Surprisingly, golf courses and other urban green spaces actually contribute significantly to biodiversity, even more than protected areas. The study also shows that amphibians and insects thrive in urban golf courses.
