Polluted Weihe River Threatens Drinking Water for Millions in China
The researchers assessed the water quality in the Weihe River during the rainy season. They measured ammonia and phosphorus levels in 12 river spots. Using a special method, they found that the water quality was not good, especially in the main river and Jinling River. Some areas had very poor quality, reaching a "bad V class." Most sites didn't meet the required water quality standards. The researchers suggested ways to control water pollution.
