Revolutionizing Aircraft Design: Optimizing UAVs for Maximum Efficiency and Performance.
Multidisciplinary Design Optimization (MDO) aims to improve aircraft design by integrating different disciplines simultaneously. EADS-MAS analyzed optimizing an aircraft by focusing on aerodynamics and wing structure separately. The study showed that it is possible to optimize an aircraft by considering both aerodynamics and structure, even though they were not fully integrated in this analysis. This approach can lead to better designs by taking into account interactions between different aspects of the aircraft.
