Insulation may not always save energy or improve comfort in some buildings
Insulation in buildings doesn't always save energy or make you more comfortable. More insulation can reduce heat transfer, but it doesn't always mean lower energy use or better comfort. A study on an air-conditioned office building in Australia showed that in some cases, adding more insulation didn't help much with energy saving or comfort, especially in warm climates. The impact of insulation on energy use was found to be small compared to its effect on thermal performance. So, more insulation doesn't always mean better energy savings or comfort, especially in certain types of buildings and climates.
