The Uruguay Round will have various impacts on Sub-Saharan African countries. It will boost the world economy and demand, especially for agriculture. Non-tariff barriers critical for Africa will be removed, and tariffs will decrease, encouraging industrialization. African exporters may face losses in preferences, and new obligations will come with WTO membership. The study aims to measure these effects on Africa.
