Mulching with chopped grass and black textile material increased soil temperature and water potential, with black textile mulch showing the most significant effects. Chopped grass mulch led to a 22.9% higher yield of ware potatoes compared to non-mulched plots. Additionally, chopped grass mulch resulted in more and heavier tubers in the 56-60 mm and over 60 mm size categories.
