Tidal effects in Galing River lead to downstream flooding during high tide
The Galing River in Pahang is at risk of flooding, especially in the 14pstrcam area. The study used digital modeling to analyze the impact of rainfall and tides on flooding. Results showed that high tides caused flooding downstream, with water levels rising as flow increased. The analysis also considered scenarios with different rainfall events and the presence of a bridge. The findings highlight the importance of understanding how tidal effects can contribute to flooding in rivers like the Galing.
