In Malaysia, road accidents cause about 6,000 deaths yearly. To reduce accidents, the government uses low-cost measures at accident blackspots. These measures are quick fixes to improve safety. Over 4 years, 755 blackspots were treated with these measures. The focus is on planning, methods, construction, monitoring, and improving these low-cost solutions.
