A survey was conducted to study how different states enforce rules for high occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes. These lanes are designed to improve public transportation and traffic flow. The survey looked at how other states handle enforcement of HOV lane occupancy requirements and illegal lane crossings. The goal was to learn from their strategies and apply them to similar lanes in Texas. The survey found various enforcement practices in place, which could help improve the operation of HOV lanes in Texas.
