The Kyoto Protocol introduced ways for countries to reduce emissions economically, and Russia can benefit from this by using emissions trading and joint projects involving the natural gas industry. This study looks at how Russia can use the Kyoto mechanisms along with its natural gas sector to combat climate change effectively.
