The study looked at how completion times of building projects in Abuja are related to their costs. They analyzed data from 30 private projects and found that, on average, projects in Abuja are completed 34% later than expected. This is an improvement from previous studies that reported a 51% time overrun. They also discovered that larger projects tend to finish earlier than expected. The researchers suggest that maintaining an effective time-cost relationship can help reduce delays in construction projects.
