The report shows that six major development banks invested over 25billioninprojectstofightclimatechangein2015.Theyfocusedonbothreducingtheimpactofclimatechangeandhelpingcountriesadapttoit.Since2011,thesebankshaveputover131 billion towards climate action in developing countries. In 2015, they also attracted an additional 55billioninoutsidefundingfortheseprojects.Thismeansatotalof80 billion was spent on climate-related projects that year. This is the first time these banks have included this extra funding in their report.
