The study looked at how audit committees in Victorian government organizations work to provide assurance and governance. It examined the roles, attributes, and activities of these committees, as well as how they interact with management, internal audit, and external audit. The research found that certain characteristics of audit committees contribute to their success and sustainability within a governance framework.
