Iconic Princes Bridge Saved from Collapse, Restored to Former Glory
Princes Bridge in Melbourne, a historic and busy bridge, needed major repairs and strengthening due to deteriorating paintwork and structural issues. The City of Melbourne decided to rehabilitate the bridge before the 2006 Commonwealth Games. The goals were to restore decorative features, remove old lead paint, and strengthen the bridge to support current legal loads. The project was completed successfully, meeting high standards and resolving technical challenges before the games.
