Immigrants in Sweden face faster job loss and slower re-employment.
This study looked at how EU immigrants in Sweden fared in the job market compared to native Swedes from 1995 to 2008. By analyzing employment and unemployment data, researchers found that immigrants had a harder time finding and keeping jobs than Swedes. Factors like age, gender, education, and social assistance played a significant role in immigrants' job success. The study also showed that immigrants from different countries had varying levels of success in the Swedish job market.
